Level 2 Diploma in Network Construction Operations (Water) and (Gas)

EUIAS is the specialist awarding organisation for the utilities industries – we have worked with industry to understand how best to meet their needs to ensure that learners acquire the skills, competence and knowledge as efficiently as possible.

We have developed the Level 2 Diploma in Network Construction Operations (Water) and (Gas) qualifications side by side with our gas and water technical experts.  This has enabled us to identify common activity and assessment requirements, and highlight the potential for recognising existing skills, competencies and knowledge.

Why choose EUIAS?

Our approach:

  • Supports learners, including experienced workers, by reducing the burden of having to repeat training and assessment, particularly where they are working in both gas and water environments and the time to achieve their licence to practice.
  • Supports employers to reduce the repetition of training and therefore reduce the time that workers are off-site which can affect productivity and
  • Supports training providers with the opportunity to register for gas and water qualifications with one Awarding Organisation and identify opportunities for learners to have their prior achievements recognised.

These qualifications have been designed and developed through consultation with industry and training providers to ensure the qualifications and units are current and fit-for-purpose. They also incorporate the latest National Occupational Standards and have been designed to enable the recognition of prior learning by existing experienced workers within the industry.

Our NCO Qualification Specification, Assessment Strategy and guidance materials will support Centres to deliver the NCO qualifications effectively and efficiently.  There is a single assessment methodology for this qualification which also reduces the assessment burden on the learner and the Centre.

Our internal team and industry experienced EQAs are available to answer any questions, from approval through delivery and external quality assurance, to learner achievement.

Training and guidance will be provided from our Service Delivery team, supporting Centres to register learners and claim achievements through QuartzWeb, our web based learner management system available 24/7.

Learners will receive an e-Certificate for full qualifications or the  units achieved, delivered as standard immediately after each claim has been processed.
